Madeline Covarrubias
Madeline Covarrubias is a senior at Texas State University, majoring in Resource & Environmental Studies, with a minor in Biology, and is working towards a certificate in GIS. After graduation, Madeline hopes to enter the workforce as either a Park Ranger for Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, or a GIS Technician for a Texas-based company. She is interested in conservation of natural resources, education outreach & interpretation, along with spatial analysis. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, playing guitar, and enjoying the San Marcos River.

Gage Sears
Gage Sears is graduating in May 2017 with a B.S. in Urban & Regional Planning with a minor in Engineering Technology. He is also receiving a Certificate in Geographic Information Systems and LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design). Gage lives with his family in San Marcos, Texas and will be moving into the private planning & development sector when he graduates working as a planner for Simple City Designs. Gage loves crossfit, playing League of Legends, hammocking and swimming and riding his motorcycle. Gage’s favorite aspect of geography is land planning & development and wants to start his own development firm in the future. Gage thoroughly enjoyed working with Hill Country Planning on the City of Austin Digitization Project.
