Conclusion
ARI had significant data loss due to lack of spatial information but pinpointed a total of 166 wastewater spills in both the recharge and contributing zones. The main cause or wastewater spills was from line blockage while the second main cause was damaged pipes. Both of these causes can use preventative methods to keep this from happening. There was a lack of temporal pattern and frequency of spills throughout each year. The spills cannot be directly tied to outlying MUDs, but rather the cities themselves. We hope to aid in GEAA's mission of improving aquifer health and expand public awareness with the addition of our data to GeoTex and future projects.
