Kelly McDermott- Manager
Kelly McDermott has three years of experience in using GIS software. She began her career in GIS in the US Fish & Wildlife Service providing wetland and endangered species data to the North Dakota Department of Transportation for use in planning projects. Kelly is currently employed by the Guadalupe County Groundwater Conservation District as a GIS Analyst/Manager in Training, where she uses MapInfo GIS software. Kelly has a BS in Environmental Science (1998) from West Texas A&M University, and a MS in Aquatic Biology from Southwest Texas State University (2000). She also has experience with Arc View/Arc Map 8.x-9.2 and Manifold GIS/IMS 7.x software. Kelly will receive her Certificate in GIS from Texas State University in December 2007.
Kyle Menasco - Assistant Manager
Kyle Menasco has been using GIS software for one and half years. He received degrees in photography and drawing in 2005 from Texas State University. In the summer of 2007 he became an intern at DCP Midstream, the biggest gas transportation company in the United States, and continues to work for them at this time. Kyle will complete his Certificate in GIS from Texas State University in December 2007 and is looking towards future opportunities.
Eric Madigan - Webmaster
Eric Madigan is currently seeking a Bachelor of Science in Geographic Information Science at Texas State University and is expected to graduate in December 2008. He has experience with ArcGIS 9.1- 9.2 software and developing websites using FrontPage 2003 software and HTML codes. He will receive his Certificate in GIS from Texas State University in December 2007.
Alyssa Murphy - Analyst
Alyssa Murphy is currently seeking a bachelor of science in Resource and Environmental Studies at the Geography department of Texas State University and is expected to graduate Cum Laude in the spring of 2008. She is a dedicated conservationist and is a member of the National Association of Environmental Professionals. She will receive her Certificate in GIS from Texas State University in December of 2007.
Scott Appleton - Analyst
Scott Appleton obtained a BA and an MA in Anthropology from the University of Texas at Austin, then decided that was not going to fly and joined IBM as a programmer, where he worked for 13 years. Then he decided that that was not going to fly, either, so he began his pursuit of a GIS Certificate, combining his love (maps) with his expertise (computers). He has worked for the Alamo Area Council of Governments as a GIS Intern and currently is employed by Marston Environmental as a GIS Analyst. He will receive his Certificate in GIS from Texas State University in December 2007.
