Linda S. Porter was born in Sherman, Texas. She was adopted at the age of 6 weeks and was raised in Southern California around aeronautic engineers. She has two beautiful children, Derek and Kelli. Linda is an entrepreneur of 22 current years in the field of industrial water treatment consulting for heat-exchange surfaces in South and Central Texas, 2 current years consulting in application and methods for sanitation of various infectious diseases for marketing areas in State of Texas and Southern California, and 2 current years as Contacting Agent for Hythiam, a healthcare services management company dedicated to advancing the standard of care for the treatment of addiction through technology that enables healthcare providers to treat the physiological source of this chronic disease, Los Angeles, California. Currently, Linda is attending Texas State University with a projected graduation year 2006. Linda’s major has been focused in geography and she currently is enrolled in GIS 4427 to obtain her Geographical Information Science Certificate. Linda is a member of the San Marcos, Texas Rotary Club and she has served on appointed committees such as the supervisory auditing committee for the Guadalupe Valley Electric Company and Guadalupe Valley Telephone Company, Texas Credit Union. She was also appointed secretary to the administrative council of the Monthalia United Methodist Church, Texas. Linda’s enjoys spending time with her family and her hobbies are traveling to the island of Kauai and Southern California.
