A current system of mitigating storm water on the campus of Texas State University-San Marcos is non-existent. The system that the University has in place as of now is outdated and disconnected. Storm drains and pipes transport storm water from one part to of campus only to dump it on another part and have it eventually drain, untreated, into the environmentally sensitive headwaters of the San Marcos River.
