Wes Poehlmann - GIS Analyst

My name is Wesley Poehlmann, I have been a student at the university for 2 years now and am on my final semester before graduation.  My degree is in General geography with an emphasis in locational analysis strategies for businesses.  I am a non traditional student at the university, originally transferring here to obtain a degree in history.  Upon evaluation of the programs with the geography department I realized that there is future job potential with a degree in geography, particularly careers in the field of GIS which is rapidly developing and becoming one of the best sectors to work in.  Combining a minor in history with a major in geography I believe has helped me develop a well rounded perspective on how past events have affected the future and the importance that location plays into this.
