Eros Bertoni, age 31, was born in Rovereto, Italy. He attended public school where he developed an interested in Geography. At the age of 22 he immigrated to the United States of America. He initially took time to perfect his English at the Intensive English Language Institute at the University of North Texas. He received his Associate Degree at Brookhaven College in Dallas, and he is currently working on his Bachelor of Science in Geographic Information Systems at Texas State University. He was awarded the Leif Anenson Scholarship in 2004 by the Geography Department at TSU and has been on the Dean’s List since spring 2004. His experience includes two GIS internships; the General Land Office in Austin (spring 2004) and the Texas Transportation Institute in San Antonio (summer of 2004). He will graduate in December 2004 and hopes to find a job in his field of studies. His interest includes Italian cooking, horse-back riding, gardening, music, and body building.
