The horror movie genre has captivated audiences for decades, drawing them into its chilling narratives. Audiences seeking to immerse themselves further in this realm of fear often contemplate the real-world locations where these ominous tales unfold. In response, our project endeavors to enhance the audience's connection to this beloved genre by introducing a specialized web application. This application serves as a database, showcasing the geographical settings of notable feature films within the horror genre. Utilizing buffer and pathway analysis techniques enabling users to explore and locate the eerie landscapes and settings featured in their favorite films. Through the user-friendly interface, individuals can search for specific movie titles, discovering the filming locations. Whether it's a renowned horror classic or an underrated gem, our platform unveils the geographic proximity of these spine-chilling locales, uncovering the possibility that these nightmarish landscapes might be closer than imagined. By the allure of cinematic terror, our web application invites users to embark on an immersive journey, bridging the gap between fiction and reality. It not only celebrates the cultural impact of these films but also fosters a newfound appreciation for the geographic tapestry that contributes to the haunting allure of the horror genre.

The April 8th, 2023 total solar eclipse will be the last such event to cross the continental United States for the next twenty years until August 23rd, 2044. This project aims to create an informative web map that allows users to perform two spatial analyses to gain a greater understanding of where the total eclipse will be visible in their area through a state zipcode query and click function that will display what times the eclipse will be visible at any given coordinate.
